Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Most clients receive 80%, 70% or 60% of our fee back depending on their plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible?
- Has my deductible been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- If you have an HMO: Is authorization required by primary physician?
You may pay out-of-pocket in full over the course of our therapy sessions, at the time that services are provided.
Why self-pay? The reason some of our clients choose not to participate with insurance panels is because they require a DSM-IV diagnosis. Our work together becomes part of your medical records. This can affect you down the road in life. For example, you could be denied life insurance. In addition to that, the insurance company dictates the treatment process and length.
Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis.
We ask that any client payment amounts (including co-payments and coinsurance) be paid at the time of the session.
We accept payments in cash or check.
