"In our lives, change is unavoidable, loss is unavoidable. In the adaptability and ease with which we experience change, lies our happiness and freedom." (Buddha)

It is truly one of my fundamental beliefs that change in life is constant and it is our ability to adapt to change that will allow us to achieve happiness. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to empowering my clients to develop the skills necessary to successfully adapt to and cope with change. The focus of our work together will be on identifying and reaching your goals. I strive to offer this support in a confidential environment filled with compassion and a little bit of fun!

My career in social work began about ten years ago with my initial interest in the healthcare industry. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Social Work, I had the opportunity to work with individuals living with chronic illnesses. This inspired me to further advance my professional training by obtaining my Master's degree in Social Work. My extensive background in social work has included: working exclusively with adolescents in community mental health/substance use treatment and the school setting, hospital based clients with various chronic illnesses, and the geriatric community.

My therapeutic experience has been largely focused on working with adolescents struggling to manage depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and gender identity issues. In addition, I have experience working with adults struggling to cope with anxiety and depression and the impact associated symptoms can have on various relationships.

My approach to therapy is using a variety of techniques learned from my years of training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to equip my clients with a toolbox to identify goals and effectively meet those goals.

I am truly motivated to help you continue to build the skills to adapt to change and ultimately reach your happiness and peace! Hope to meet you soon!
